Good for you. But you are offering some bad advice..

Snow Leopard IS NOT fully qualified with ProTools yet. Are you going to have solutions for the OP if he buys it and it doesn't work?

The number of tracks you can have in a ProTools session HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE capacity of the HD you are using

Yes on 7200 rpm and the correct oxford chipset..
