Default Re: Switching over from old Mac

I just completed the switch to intel.
I have many third party plugs. It was a ton of work - lots of updates to download.
(I probably spent a week preparing for the move - digging up all of my auth codes, checking intel compatibility, etc.)
.......but it was totally worth it.
There is no comparison between my "old" G5 and my Mac Pro.
The intel rocks! tons of plugs, VI's and still low buffer sizes!

plus - despite assurances, I never trust companies to maintain support for older technology (PPC in this case)
the day will come that some new, "must-have" plug (the "Grammy-izer"?) is ONLY intel compatible

With native processing - intel is the way to go.
