Hello all,

I am new to the forum and have been getting the error message "pro tools hardware is not installed or is in use by another program" when trying to use my 2X2 cakewalk sps-25 usb interface. I have downloaded the latest drivers for the interface. Everything runs smoothly when I use the onboard soundcard, and the inferface works fine with other daw programs that I have.

I am running windows 7 on a gateway t-1628 laptop.
-AMD Turion 64 X2 processor
-2.0 GHz | 512 KB x2 L2 Cache
-ATI RS690T chipset
-4 gb ram

I have done all the pro tools optimizations for Windows 7... it runs smoothly with the onboard soundcard but will not work with the cakewalk sps-25.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
