Default Help needed with corrupt SDII audio files:

Help needed with corrupt SDII audio files:

We have 6 audio files in the SDII format that have corrupt resource forks.
Of course, this prevents us from using these much needed files in any way.
After a quick bout with Resource Remover PPC, ResEdit, and Norton Disk
Editor+, we now know we have no idea how to resurrect these files.

After removing the resource fork and copying the STR and LGWV resources back
into the offending files, this yields a file of the proper length, channel
and bit depth. Unfortunately this file has at least 24db more gain on it
than it should, and plays as mostly white noise. The quiet passages
(background noise between sections) sound nice and loud, but this hardly
helps.

If this description makes any sense to you whatsoever, or more importantly
makes you say 'Aha, I know how to fix that!'... you're the person we're
looking for.
