did you notice the grey area about the 1.8ghz G5's on the compatibility pages?
Single 1.8ghz Power Mac G5 (second generation model M9555) is not yet tested
but the Dual 1.8ghz (first and second generation is approved) and so is the single 1.8ghz (first generation) is approved.
That in itself looks like there is a known issue with the second generation single 1.8ghz.
Is the M9555 the model you have?
