How do I trash my Pro Tools preferences on Windows XP?
Trash the Pro Tools LE preferences:
Local Disk C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name folder"\Application Data\Digidesign
If you don't see the Application or Digidesign folders, then they are hidden. To show these folders: Tools Menu > Folder Options > View Tab > Select "Show Hidden Files and Folders" > Click Apply and OK.
Trash the entire DAE Preferences folder:
Local Disk C:\Program Files\Digidesign\DAE\DAE Prefs
(For Pro Tools v6.1 the DAE prefs are located in Local Disk C:\Program Files\Common Files\Digidesign\DAE\DAE prefs.)
empty recycle bin
i have alao deleted all digidatabase folders on each drive as well
