However, if it is used for A/D conversion in front of PT LE hardware , SPDIF on coax will work.
Not sure if ADAT optical is available on Rosettas, that could also work..giving 2 channels of either SPDIF or ADAT format.
75 ohm coax is preferred for clocking reasons over the optical. Besides, no PT LE hardware can receive above 48Khz over the lightpipe port, using ADAT opt. protocol.
The XLR you have mentioned is a true 110ohm, transformer balanced digital connection, referred to as AES/EBU.
So...SPDIF for you, on coax..
