Doesn't bother me, PT's basic MIDI isn't enough for me to do any arranging in it, Logic has the upper hand there by a longshot. I compose in Logic, bounce any synths and then edit/mix/overdub in PT. I don't think Logic's instruments are AU anyway - the program supports 3rd party AU instruments, but I think the ones that are bundled with it are a proprietary format that is also used in garageband - if they were AU they'd show up in DP and other AU apps.
