Have you tried cs8, is it the same?
Have you trashed all the prefs for Digidesign, DAE and pro tools, from Mackintosh HD/user/"your name"/library/prefs. re booted and tried again.
If all else fails you might need to trash your AMS (audio midi setup) prefs and re build your midi setup.
