One important detail you left out is; what connections do you have available? If you have Thunderbolt, that's probably the best way to go as you'll get the lowest latency. Not sure what focusrite has with TB, but the Clarrett range is(AFAIK) a step up. The Presonus Quantum line is another TB option. For USB-C, check out the Presonus Studio 1824c might do the trick(I use the smaller Studio 1810c here, but on a USB3 port) and once you get the software set properly, you should not need to open it again. Just work in Pro Tools with a low buffer(64) while tracking.
