I'm getting something similar. Nonscientific look at what's going on... Here's how it behaves on my 12-core PC: Pro Tools 11, dynamic plug-in processing on, Nectar 2 in mono, every module enabled, 4-part harmony
One instance uses 16-18% of one core. Each additional instance uses about 16-18% of a different core. After 8 instances on my rig, this starts to go up.
12 instances showed 22-24% on each of my 12 cores.
16 instances showed CPU usage on 8 cores to be 23%, with the remaining 4 cores at 40% (averages out to be 28% per instance). This shows that the average CPU usage per Nectar instance scales fairly well, but there is an increase.
So it looks like it scales pretty well until you have more instances of Nectar than cores.
