This is a dumb as a rock plain non-switched card. It will directly wire a NVMe M.2 SSD card to 4 x PCIe 2 lanes in a Mac Pro. What you want is a switched card like the one I have pointed out earlier that takes the pairs of PCIe 2 lanes though a switch and gives you a PCIe 3 lane. That was the whole point. Double the raw IO performance out of your tired old Mac Pro cheesegrater.
And no I am not worried by feedback from a random Amazon purchasers. These cards are absolutely designed to run with a single M.2 NVMe card.
