I am using one with a Stealthport on my G4 (1.25 dual, PT HD 7.3.1 and OSX) for syncing to video. You use the driver for the USB version from the MOTU site. It works well in my setup, but I can't see how it would be an improvement if you are unhappy with USB midi interfaces since that is essentially what you are creating.
