I understand now- I just have seen a lot of examples where folks bought all sorts of gear unnecessarily. I think you are in the best position to determine what is best for you, do some shootout tests where you play a recording you know is good through the various interfaces, and also record the same signal through each interface. I'm kinda betting that you're not going to hear enough of a difference and that if you continue to use your AVID interfaces you'll get stunning results...
