What functions do items one and three perform? As to item two try this: hit the C3 key on the piano keyboard on the left hand side of the MIDI editor and hit the delete key on your computer keyboard. All C3 notes gone. Or if you don't want the notes gone because you're not sure if you want them gone instead of hitting the delete key right click on a C3 and select 'mute notes'.
