Use your current MacBook to purchase Mountain Lion from the app store and create your bootable USB stick and never look back.

There is even a "mini" version which will run cooler, eh?

You'll be completely satisfied from the get go and you'll be able to upgrade it easily when the next "thing" comes out rather than locked in as you are now to the hardware.
