Soundman is correct, You can not use the original MBox with V8.01 but you shouldn't have any problems firing up the 002.
1.uninstall any installations of PT that my be on the computer.
2. leave the 002 unplugged
3. while installing, ignore any "Windows Prompts"
4. Eventually Digi will ask you to plug in your interface and you should be on the way!
