I don't have a quintet, but here's what I would do if I were in your shoes:

Create a send on the existing vocal track to an available analog out, for instance 8. Patch a cable from output 8 to the analog in of the quintet.

Patch a cable between the spdif out of the quintet, and the spdif in of 'the digi' (you never said which one). Make sure both units are clocking correctly.

Create a new audio track, stereo or mono depending on what kind of effect you're going for from the quintet, set it's input to be the proper spdif in, and you should be good to go.
