Yes. Many people with M1 based Mac are reporting this issue
here. Although 2021.6 was the first version certified to run on M1 processors, there seems to be many people having GUI lag or constant freezing. Most have reverted back to 2021.3.1 for a smoother performance but giving up on the new features for now. Hopefully the next release will iron out these.
