Thanks Jeffro! I was able to receive your connection request - but still missing the one from my colleague... headscratcher for sure. I have confirmed that he sent one to me, and I additionally sent one to him - so there are effectively two parallel connection requests in the system. Do you think this is contributing to the issue?
