Default set-up recommendations and midi interface question
I've been searching the DUC for an answer but have not found one as of yet. I'm upgrading my protools system to a digi 002r and I purchased a G5 dual 1.8, 2g of ram, and two internal 160g hard drives. I will be using one hard drive for audio tracks. My questions are....

- Should I install Virtual instruments on the main drive or audio drive? If it should be on the audio drive, should I partition it (one partition vi, one for audio)? What will give me the best performance?

Also,

- I was looking to purchase the motu microlite midi interface? Has anyone used this successfully or should I be looking to get something else (5 ins and outs are sufficient for me).
