May I ask what this public beta test means for the future of our support and update plans? Is this just a one-off public beta? Or is Avid intending on offering beta releases now for the support and update plan?
If it is the latter, rather than obfuscating exactly what people are paying their costly support plans for, may I suggest just taking the same approach as Reaper? A freely accessible, current version of the
Reaper beta is always accessible by anyone whom wants to spend their time doing some testing on Cockos' behalf.
