I wouldn't say it's not a concern at all. You just have to go by the harshness of the environment. Something worth mentioning is equipment in club scenarios. Dust is not the worry so much as smoke, because it's not readily apparent just how much is building up on your connections over time. That can really mess with your jacks and pots and faders as well. And smoke buildup doesn't self-clean near as easy as dust does.
