I wonder if the PCIe host card of Magma PE6R4 can be plugged into Intel Mac Pro's PCIe x16 slot.
When I checked Magma's site "Products>PCI and PCIx expansion>6 slot PCIX Expansion", the host card is x4 (
http://www.magma.com/6slot.html).
But if i type "PE6R4" in the SEARCH, it is x8. (
http://www.magma.com/comersus_viewIt...?idProduct=183)
I found that the PCIe host card of Magma PE6R4 spec is:
PCI Express Interface card (x4) for standard
height or low-profile slots
Dimensions (H x L) 2.7 x 3.2 in (69 x 81 mm)
PCI Express Bus Specification: Revision 1.0a
The PCIe slot on the lastest Intel Mac Pro is:
Three open full-length PCI Express expansion slots5
One PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot
Two PCI Express 2.0 x4 slots
All slots provide mechanical support for 16-lane cards
300W combined maximum for all PCI Express slots
So no matter x4 or x8 the magma host card is, will it fits in the lastest Intel Mac Pro?
