Default Round and round she goes, when she boots knowbody knows.

After using 001 and LE for about a month and a half now and reading the posts on this forum I have decided to put my 2 cents in.
For owners of PCI G4/400 systems such as myself and apparently b&w G3 owners, we got a pretty raw deal. I guess you have to put up with a crippled program which if it worked at all in any kind of a stable manor would be quite adequate for semi professionals as myself. It is quite frustrating when one cannot even establish any kind of work-flow do this unbearable cycle of **** that we have to put up with.

start computer from general use extension set.
wait.
select studio set. (OS Base w/ digi extensions enabled)
open memory control panel.
reset cache to 512k
set colors to 256.
restart.
wait.
system hangs on digi-init
push reset button.

computer FINALLY BOOTS AFTER 5-8 Attempts (aprox. time; 20 minutes
average, sometimes much more)
open current project (with impending deadline)
work for 30 minutes.
application unexpectedly quits causing compete system lock up.
push reset button.

computer FINALLY BOOTS.

I realize that this is not a pro system but 1000 dollars is a lot of money to spend on something that is obviously undeveloped.
When researching the 001 I read all the compatibility docs and specs on the digi web sight and nowhere did it mention this intolerable b**l-s**t reboot reboot state of affairs.
I have 448 megs of ram and a 40gig 7200rpm maxtor dedicated audio drive. I allocated plenty of ram to DAE and LE. My system config would be by all rights the perfect representation of the optimal settings recommended by digi.
So. What now?
I’m a ****** of and disgruntled FIRST TIME USER of digi products.
What an impression I got !!
I only wish that project interviewers would not ask that dreaded of all questions.
Do you know Pro Tools?
Digi has cornered the market for now (since getting work sometimes is dependent on whether or not you are PT literate) but to answer the above question honestly would be to say: Yes perspective employers I do know Pro Tools,
I know that it sucks for me...

Please don’t blast me for the negative post. I Just had to get it of my chest.
