My studio is very simple in approach and I don’t have many outboard gear (just a midi keyboard). Inputs are not much of a concern as oppose to outputs to me. I believe 64 I/O is adequate. Any finishing and outputs beyond the scope of 5.1 will be done at other facilities and not my own studio.
That is why I was leaning towards the mtrx studio. Wanted to be entirely in the eucon ecosystem but not wanting to break the bank so to speak.
Now, would an HDX card make more sense or go entirely Dante with the focusrite card?
