I have a shortcut to the editor on my desktop. I right click the icon, selected properties, then compatibility tab. Then you select compatibility for all users. Finally, select compatibility for windows 8 and check the disable the display scaling.

Thanks for this - I still encounter the issue occasionally and the improvised remedy is certainly unsatisfactory
