You'd have to find some way to map what the mod wheel sends to CC11. Unfortunately there's no way to MIDI learn a control for that as there's no slider/knob for expression in Play. Play used to use (may still do) CC11 as a volume control. When I use Play libraries I map the volume slider for each part to what my keyboard controller sends from the attached volume pedal which is cc7.

Do you really need expression (CC11) or volume (CC7)? They're two different animals.



Keep in mind that I only use older EW libraries like Symphonic Orchestra, Ra and Stormdrum and don't know what changes may have been made to the engine with regards to newer libraries.
