Well now I tested with the matte theme in my test system (that is identical purposefully to yours) and it is working for me.
What does the debug version says at the main window info line at the bottom? (Marked with 2 in the picture)
What does the debug version says when you want to capture the edit/mix window? (Marked with 1 in the picture)
If you want to get your theme back, just repatch the necessary system files using the UXthemePatcher
here. Then re-do all the steps that theme provider tells.
Deleting Borderless Pro Tools for Windows is easy. Just trash the .exe file.
