Re: PT HD - plugins on the fly?

I was told at the NAMM by Digi people that that has nothing to do with TDM or TDM II. It's a limit (the biggest I'd say) dragged on since the early days of the software. They are working on that and,...

The 2 limits of PT with C24/PC

In my opinion, the 2 things that keep PT with a PC/C24 from becoming a very practical recording and mixing enviroment are:
1)we can't add a plug or a send during playback
2)when we open a template...

is it possible to copy all the automation of one or more tracks (volume, pan, mutes, sends etc) to another location in one time?

Thank you

Importing tracks into a template or viceversa?

Hi,
is it better to import a template into a session to work on, or to import a session into a template? I noticed that in the first case I find problems with double paths in the i/o setup.
How do...

Re: setting record levels into ProTools with the intent of mixing in ProTools

On a subject related to this one, I sometimes realize, when mixing in PT, that the meters on the master fader hit the red way too much but... I can't hear any clipping or else. I then lower all the...

Re: To Defragment/Not Defragment HD???

I copy the audio files on the internal drive, erase the copied files on the audio drive(s), empty the trash and then move the files back to the audio drive. This is less scary to me than using a...

Re: How do you mix an unevenly played bass?

QuikDraw,
that's what I often do, but the bass ends up getting small and it's not easy to eq it back succesfully if you want a big bass as in the case of this song.

Thanks

Re: How do you mix an unevenly played bass?

Guys,

Re: How do you mix an unevenly played bass?

Stratman,

this helped me a lot: now I have those 15 plugs I always use up to the very top and very bottom of the list, and I can finally pop them in from C24 without risking a nervous breakdown....

Re: Plugins from A to Z ?

Ben Jenssen,
this sounds like a huge breakthrough in the field of PTology. If I well understand, if I put, for instance, the prefix "01" to R1 it will always show up at the very top? And no problem...
