Re: Did something change with playlists in 2024.3?

If you make an edit on the end of a group of tracks, then try to create playlists from matching alternates, it will only create a playlist from one of the tracks in the group (whichever one you...

Re: Did something change with playlists in 2024.3?

Re: Pro Tools 2022.9 "Saving ARA Data"

coincidentally, this is what I did today as well and I did not ever get the message, even though I was editing a vocal track using the new ARA method. I had a track. I consolidated it (after comping...

Re: Pro Tools 2022.9 "Saving ARA Data"

I may just have to revert to using the Melodyne plugin and see if that prevents the "saving ARA data" messages from disrupting my workflow (and slowing me down to about 50% efficiency)

I submitted...

Re: Pro Tools 2022.9 "Saving ARA Data"

I am getting this on Windows and it is super annoying. Many times I'll use keyboard shortcut sand sometimes it "misses" them because it has started the "Saving ARA data..." even though it may not...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

I'm on 2021.3 and now 2021.3.1 and it's still chuggin along fine. worst part is they don't seem to know what they fixed... but it works again and has for the last 3-4 releases so I'm happy for that.

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

I'm actually kind of shocked but 2020.11 seems to have finally fixed the issue I was seeing. It's been really frustrating to not be able to use 2020 all year even though I'm paying the...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

unfortunately for me, even after installing a brand new copy of windows 10 (build 2004) and then only installing the UAD drivers and plugins (9.12.2), Quicktime 7.7.9 (because PT complains if you...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

tonight I reduced to one monitor and still saw the same issue. then I moved that one monitor to the built-in Intel 630 graphics port (instead of the Nvidia GeForce GT 730 card) and I still saw the...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

so I loaded up 2020.9 and it does the exact same thing. I sent the pro tools log to support. it clearly shows I started the bounce, then some time later it logs "assertion" (in...

Re: Amplitube 4 crashing PT 2020.5 Windows?

so just to follow up on this one, I installed 2020.9 today and did not have a problem with Amplitube 4 anymore. I had uninstalled it an re-installed it previously so I'm not really sure if that...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

it's definitely not a thermal issue and the system is not that old (2 years). I can run 2019.12 every day with no video corruption issues like I saw with 2020.3 and 2020.5. Avid support did mention...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

I had some older Nvidia drivers installed and Windows 10 did not want to update them, so I uninstalled and then let Windows update install the latest. ...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

Amplitube 4 crashing PT 2020.5 Windows?

These settings are not available on...

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5 GUI FREAK OUT on Windows 10

I haven't been able to try it yet (since it requires downtime to uninstall and reinstall PT), but I do want to point out that using processor affinity is not a solution - it's a workaround. the...
