Can report same issue here on Intel iMac - only workaround in 2022.12 I could find was that you can use "C" and "V" without the command key and it'll copy and paste - but it was such a flow killer...

Yes, re-installed v12.7

No beachballs except when using Waves (new) drop down menu for presets on plugins.

Still feels a bit sluggish but much much better.

OK, I've done some further troubleshooting and installed Waves v11 plugs instead. Beachballs are gone EXCEPT when I have the VU meter plugin displayed - then Pro Tools transport becomes sluggish...
