Thanks for all the info, btw I saw upgrade from 7 to 8 on avid site but didn't see 8 to 9 but I guess they will sort it out soon if not already.

Emagic Logic Control with Pro Tools

Hi all

Got a mint logic control but read an eprom upgrade for HUI to work with PT8 is required, does anyone know if the "Mackie Control Universal Upgrade Kit" is still available as the web page...

It didn't seem to work as a control surface in pro tools 8
so I guess it won't in pro tools 9 ?

Selected HUI and then the zoom r24 in additional drop down menus,
also checked midi input...

Thanks for info, I will get round to testing on Protools 8 first I think as that seems like a good place to start.

I have not upgraded as yet to pro tools 9 but purchased a Zoom R24 before release of PT9

Initially bought as a toy to use for basic multitracking away from home it Supports HUI and Mackie Control,...

Unlikely.

Different monitors respond in different ways, even subtle differences will give incorrect mix and or placement.

Remember banging my head against a brick wall on this one, I had dropped screen resolution and forgot so the right hand side was somewhat missing. It was there but right of the monitor space. :o
