Re: Aux Routing Weirdness / Ping-pong Delay Messes Up Delay Compensation

Here it is 2024 and still no ping-pong function, so I thought I'd post my workaround.

Create one mono aux return.
Insert mono mod delay3.

Did you ever find a solution to your problem? I recently was having the same error message.

Re: MAJOR delay compensation problem! Very strange!

Have you recently upgraded any plug-ins, particularly one that may be inserted on the snare track?

What I'm trying to do is somewhat the opposite of greg, but still the same issue. I want to lop off the high values to a certain point and keep the relative attenuation values. But theres no way to...

Re: Protools 8 New look, old look! Discussion

Good point. That's why I always bring my driving skin with me. It's on the keychain right next to the car keys. LOL

Re: Protools 8 New look, old look! Discussion

I agree that customizable key commands would be going way too far, and I doubt Digi will ever do such a thing. There are several reasons why PT is the de-facto industry standard, and uniformity of...

Re: problem with bouncing

If you import all the tracks with everything - inserts, automation, etc.- you won't have to start the mix from scratch. Everything you've worked on will still be there.

Re: problem with bouncing

Could be a corrupted session file. Have you tried creating a new session and importing all the tracks from the session in question?

Re: anyway to avoid the creation of folders by digi on all my drives?

Mr. Logic,
You need to scroll back the thread and read exactly what I have and have not posted. You seem to be confusing all of our posts with each other, as if we are all just one collective borg...

We're not the Taliban, we're just the Alsihadin.

Dude, I was arguing ON YOUR SIDE and you insulted me for using a three syllable word. It might be time to switch to half-decaf.

Ya, I'm wondering about that one too Shorty. I too have used the focus-"yeah-right" pre's when I needed just... one... more... mic... But I have never entertained the idea of recording a whole song...

Re: Protools 8 New look, old look! Discussion

Rail,
If you removed the spaces between some of those regions it would be completely impossible to see the slightly darker grey on the highlighted tracks. As a temporary workaround, I recommend...

Re: java download manager is teh 5ux0r

Ah, my bad. I mistakenly included the 3+GB of v8 installation. All of the combined extras files (win versions) only add up to 8044.98MB. So no, there aren't 12GB of extras, only 8+GB. Thank you...

In your My Digi account next to Registered Downloads click the "view all" button.

Re: anyway to avoid the creation of folders by digi on all my drives?

The point here is that digi doesn't give you the option to not create them in the first place on drives that you know you're never going to use for PT. Instead of constantly scouring your system for...

Thumbs down Re: anyway to avoid the creation of folders by digi on all my drives?

Ya, they're like spam for hard drives. Very annoying.
And they also have a way of creating themselves on all removable media too.
I don't plan on running sessions off my mp3 player anytime soon.
