I see what you mean. I used the Triton (or MIDI triggered audio in general) as an example because the attack / etc. would be consistent for audio playback (performance differences between two takes...

Drape some sound blankets over the amp if you're concerned about mic bleed, but jazz guitar must be miked IMO.

If you want to ditch pro tools, then the lynx 2 card is amazing. If you want to stick with upgradeable pro tools- like tele said- not much choice in the LE range- USB or firewire.
