How about an emulation of the sticky Ampex 456 tapes of the 80's where the DAW starts screeching and won't play the session until you virtually "bake" the tape/tracks?? :D:rolleyes:

I've done this on 2" 24-track tape - you have to be careful what track you record on as the track order is reversed! (track 1 becomes track 24)

Import Audio is broken and there doesn't seem to be any urgency in fixing it. I don't even use it anymore. The workaround - dragging the files to the Clips bin - is a crapshoot, but life goes on...:(

Just tested with XPand on my system and the VI is still working after a bounce. Not sure if it's a Big Sur issue or not - I'm on Catalina.
