Re: Held Hostage by AAE -6116 Error!

Jesus, can you help clarify what constitutes a "peripheral" in AVID-speak? Do they mean literally anything attached to my computer? Do they only cards/interfaces? Only controllers (MIDI/Ethernet,...

First of all: what does AVID mean by "peripheral?"

My HD Thunderbolt? Any of the three interfaces attached to it? MIDI/Ethernet controllers?

After quitting Pro Tools, I am able to run system...

Held Hostage by AAE -6116 Error!

After trying (unsuccessfully) to get Avid Control working with my new 2023.6 install (M2 Ultra Mac Studio) any session I open holds me hostage with the un-dismissable "Pro Tools is having trouble...

HD I/O AES/EBU and tc System 6000

Anyone out there using a tc 6000 directly with their HD I/O via AES/EBU? We had a custom Tascam (HD I/O)-to-Yamaha (tc 6000) AES/EBU DB-25 cable made to facilitate this on our 8x8x8 interface, and...

Re: HD I/O - seriously strange things happening.

Power cycled more than once, no change. Haven't had a chance to run Digitest, but certainly will do that. I would guess then that the first analog card's inputs section is bad, and the second...

HD I/O - seriously strange things happening.

Our B room is an Audient ASP 8024, a single 16x16 analog HD I/O and a single HDX card running PT 12 on a Cheesegrater Mac Pro. It's been working like a champ for months. Then strange things began...

Mod keys (opt, cmd, shift, ctrl) stopped working in PT 12.8.3

So...all of my modifier keys have stopped working in PT 12.8.3. These keys work just fine in every other app (and I've used the keyboard viewer to confirm key functionality), so the keyboard appears...

Re: WTF is with PT 12 and re-linking?!

I can't even re-link manually! It won't find any candidates, let alone allow me to re-link them. Even more annoying: the unique IDs are the same and it STILL won't identify the correct file as a...

What is it with PT 12 and re-linking?!

I'm about to lose my mind. I've got a session that can't find and re-link audio files. No big deal, right? Happens all the time, manually re-link. No biggie. But this session has me pulling my...
