What a letdown.

Basically it's a 002 with Word Clock. Maybe the pres and converters are better but I'd rather spend my money on outboard and runit into my 002. I had planned on selling my 002...

There are better converters out there, but if you can't make a high quality recording with the 002R the problem is not because of the converters. Put your money into nice microphones.

I just built the "MattP" system and the first benchmark I ran got 32+25 recording to a USB drive without any Windows tweaks. I'm not sure what Allen's system does. I'm sure both are great systems...

BTW, I did a DaveC test last night. My previous results with PTLE 6.1 were 32+25. I upgraded to 6.4 and it went down to 32+20. I'm still recording to my external USB drive which is why I'm looking...

I'll try that disabling in the bios. I found that 6.4 was a bit more stable than 6.1 but a tad bit slower when it comes to the DaveC test. I did not upgrade to 6.7 because I don't do much at all...

I give you credit, you really know your stuff. I lowered the voltage to 1.525 on the cpu and I've been running prime for about 40 minutes without problems. That dropped to the aux temp to 55...

I ran this report while running Prime. The bus is at 228. I tried 230 and it generated an error after about 20 minutes. 228 has been running for a couple hours now.

The fastest memtest will run without errors is 240 on the bus speed. Windows runs fine at this speed too. The cpu cooled down to 34 degrees. What next Yoda?
