RMS is an average.

Pro Tools can be set to RMS -

iZotope has a large line of plugins you would need to be more specific.

Try checking the cpu meter and see if you are at 100% -
if the answer is yes, sometimes changing the buffer to any other setting will clear the issue -
If the meter is red 100%...

No, I tried dynamic plugin off, in fact I tried every relevant tick box, in all combinations. I also moved all plugins and let PT rebuild with stock.

Thanks for responding.
CPU usage will change with the track count and plugin usage. Increased track counts and increased plugins demand more and more CPU cycles.

Your buffer is not always 1024....

No noticeable change in CPU load - with buffer settings from 128 to 2048.
Really super odd.

Check any session of yours - look at the CPU Load in the system meter with a 128 or 256 buffer then...

I can confirm - Still have the issue with PT 2021.12 on stereo audio tracks - So the temporary solution is still to split to mono and treat session like an old (vintage:D) console.

Tried Pro Tools Aggregate I/O and Built-In Output.

Yes it is - I just opened a session in native from an old 3 card HDX session. The session was 6 songs long that had interludes between the songs tying them all together - think Pink Floyd's The Wall...
