Re: Graphical Glitch / GUI Pattern on timeline

Agreed. The fact that you're not on a 1440p monitor with software to make it work at lower resolutions is interesting - I was sure that that was the reason I was having problems, but it seems like it...

Re: Graphical Glitch / GUI Pattern on timeline

I imagine the "While loading waveforms, display in low resolution" saves RAM and startup time by not rendering the entire waveform graphic until needed, and that would make some sense, but once you'd...

Re: Graphical Glitch / GUI Pattern on timeline

I have the same issue. I'm surprised that there aren't lots of others asking, so it's probably down to something really specific that we're both doing and not many others are, so let's compare.

Re: Waveform Thickness Change Running M1

Adding to this - if you import a clip from a session that was recorded in Rosetta mode into a session running on M1, the centre line is thin. Only audio recorded in M1 mode seems to be affected.

Re: lagging mouse ergggggg

It's deffo something to do with hardware acceleration - if I turn off Hardware Acceleration in Chrome, and/or I turn off Enable GPU in Pro Tools, things go back to normal. There's loads of RAM left,...

Re: lagging mouse ergggggg

I'd be interested if other people had the same issues as me. Running Chrome, Zoom, OBS and Pro Tools seems to batter the graphics processor, but I'd expect M1 to be able to handle a few processes...

This is an old thread, but Ive been having problems in 2023.6, and it doesn't look like it's resolved.

Re: The Aux I/O device has disappeared from the system and will be disabled

Further to that last one - here are some things I've learnt and been told by the SC people that might be useful for anyone who searches for this thread.

SC Standard/Pro and SC Now exist for...

Re: The Aux I/O device has disappeared from the system and will be disabled

Thanks again everyone.
I worked in a VO studio for 8 years, originally recording people in the booth and ISDN only, but the pandemic started and every actor went out and bought a Rode NT1, a...

Re: The Aux I/O device has disappeared from the system and will be disabled

Hmmm... Hence my original question and the confusion it's causing. I've just done a SC Now session with a VO in Canada, and he was getting glitches that made the session unmanageable. Dropped PT to...

Re: The Aux I/O device has disappeared from the system and will be disabled

It’s frustrating when you don’t know the buffer setting of a software or system you’re sending to or receiving from.

So it would make sense to set the buffer to Auto in Source Connect?

Re: The Aux I/O device has disappeared from the system and will be disabled

I've been struggling too. I run a VO studio, and used Nexus for a big template with Skype, Zoom, Teams, iPDTL... loads of ins and outs, and AUX IO looked great when I set it up and my template halved...

Re: Source Nexus noise bursts on closing session

After a lot of trial and error, I've worked out a better way of doing this - using AUX IO and Nexus together.

-AUX IO lets you use interfaces on your system as IO in Pro Tools.
-Source Nexus lets...
