I got it today. For a total cost of about $80, I think it was a good deal for an interface with 8 analog inputs.
It has official driver support up to Mojave, which I need for my version of Pro Tools...

Yeah, that's the thing. The maudio device hasn't had drivers for years. The motu is supported through Mojave, which happens to be the lastest OS my perpetual works on. And Firewire isn't going to...

I understand that. I wouldn't purchase a new firewire only device. Though Motu still sells several FW/USB combo devices. BUt you can get older FW interfaces for under $100 on ebay.

I currently have an m-audio Pro Fire. I just put in a low offer on a Motu Ultralite on ebay and won. It's the older firewire only version. It that going to be an upgrade over the profire 610? Same...
