I had the same problem!

Just downloaded 8.0 and installed it on a clean system. It crashes when starting, right as the mixer.surround loads.

I'm running a MacBook Pro with 10.5.6.

Deleting...

Go to Redco (http://www.redco.com/mogami_mic_price.asp). Cheaper than Markertek.

Go with W2549 or W2534 cable, and Neutrik NC3FX-B and NC3MX-B conectors. Also get one of these Cold Heat...

I am just finishing up editing the drums on 4 songs as I'm typing this.

Here's what I've found to be the fastest way.

1st, zoom way in and align all the tracks so they are perfectly in phase. ...

I have the eMachines 6811 and like others here, cannot record or monitor at 64 or 128, and sometimes 256. Can you, with your dual OS setup, record at 64? How many tracks at 128?

The FoamByMail stuff is good. Not as dense or cut as consistantly as Auralex, but a great deal for the price. Also, FoamByMail has an eBay storefront with cheaper prices than there website.

When I went to the Apple Store, they showed me a brochure that stated all G5s have a 30-money back guarantee. You should be able to return it within 30-days.

I used t-pins. I just clamped a pin in between a pair of pliers and pushed it into my wall. I pinned each corner and side. Works great!
