Re: ADDING WARMTH IN MASTERING
I want to second the opinion about not loading it up again in PT and adding more stuff to it. You will begin to notice the 'digital harshness'(especially in LE). Try your best to get it right with...

Re: Carving EQ holes
The Studio Covers site has some good general tips for eq'ing - but keep in mind some of the dates on the references they use. To stay current in your music vibe, listen to the changing mixing trends....

Re: Warming up the front end
Keep in mind that the Avalon vt737 is a single channel pre/comp. - and the instruments you listed that you want to "warm up" are synths which are stereo.
I love my Avalon 737 on guitars, vocal and...

Re: CRANE SONG\'S PHOENIX- BOY DO I lOVE IT!!!!!!
After hearing Phoenix at a recent HD Accel tour, the thing that stayed with me was the smoothness and very apparent "tape-like" quality - not a boost in volume. If you have not heard it, you really...

I don't know of any way to do what you are trying to do, and have never had the need to enter in the volume numerically. I really don't see what the benefit would be, but for now I hope you can make...

Re: How do I remove duplicate MIDI notes?
If there is a way to delete double MIDI notes, I don't know about it. I think this would be a great additional feature to the MIDI sequencer in PT.
Also, how about a way to steadily decrease or...

Re: It\'s coming!!! Drummers watch out:-)
I'm inclined to think that these demos we're hearing of the new DFH were played with some sort of triggers/pads. If you use this method and don't go too strong with quantizing when you edit, you can...

Re: SHOULD THE MASTER FADER ALWAYS STAY AT UNITY GAIN?
I have found the best sound mixing in PT is not driving the Master Fader so hard. Don't be afraid of not having a hot enough mix - the Mastering Engineer will usually have nice gear to compress and...

"Studio in a Box" by RPG for acoustical treatment. At around $450.00 you get 4 bass traps, and lots of 1 x 1 and 4 x 2 panels. I like them better than Auralex.
