Thanks for your post! Turning off the WiFi and file vault solved the CPU overload on my MacBook Pro ... using PT 2018.4.

No, I haven't used the workaround, I'm settling on Xpand2 for piano MIDI for now.
I will watch the "bug report" and Application Manager for sure.

I have the same difficulty with mini grand in 12.7.1 with Sierra.
Will the PT App manager announce the correction of this bug in mini grand?
How will one know when the glitch is remedied?

It is fascinating, to me, how Avid can involve complete attention to development of PT 11, meanwhile no one can upgrade their MAC OS. Unfortunately, registered owners of PT 10
(like me) are not...
