Hi I have seen guidance on what usb port you should use for macbooks. Is there any guidance specifically a mbox mini on a mac mini (intel)?

I think this enclosure (link below) with a 7200 SATA seagate barracuda disk inserted will be pro tools qualified but can I get a second opinion or two?

I really think this is my mbox hardware as i have a pc running pro tools le also and when i plugged it into the windows pc it did exactly the same thing.

Yes it is - both sliders set all the way to the right - Never

I have also established that both headphones outputs do not work at all now.

MBOX Latency

This may be a dumb question however....

On my old pc I used to be able to get the buffer of the mbox to 128. On my mac i can only get the buffer as low as 256 - there is no option for 128.

That enclosure has the oxford 924 chipset. Have digi qualified this yet? Or has anyone used this with sucess??

Instrument tracks combine a midi track and and aux input track. Previously, to run soft instruments in protools you had to have two tracks, a midi and an aux input track.

No, I can't for some reason! the maudio 2496 doesn't even get recognised by avid freedv.

Hang on maudio, digi and avid are all one company! I know they would argue their flagship products do...
