Re: Creating Effective Crossfades

Thanks for the tip, bigdoghat, but I'm overlapping the regions, so I don't know what's happening.

I can create crossfades, but the waves from regions 1 and 2 don't blend into each other...they...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Thanks for the xfades file Shan. Your screenshot shows exactly the kind of blend that I am unable to produce, but when I manipulate the regions in the file, I am getting the same results as my own...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Hey Shan

Thanks for the session download. I opened it up, and saw your example, but since there were no actual sound wavs on the regions, I couldn't tell if they were blending together.

I'm...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Hey Shan

Thanks again for the posts. My fade settings are very similar to yours, yet I'm not getting the results that the pictures in the Reference Guide are showing. See page 337 for a picture...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Hey Shane!

Thanks again for the pic, it worked today. Hmmm, actually it seems like I'm doing the same thing you are..playing with the trimmer back and forth to find a good spot, and then creating...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Dillon, again, thanks for the input, and I definitely am a fan of keeping things simple (since I don't know enough about the tech make it complex).

I do RECORD to multiple tracks simultaneously,...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

dillon, thanks for the help, I appreciate the response even if we're still stuck. So when you make crossfades, do you just work with an abrupt splice?

Re: Creating Effective Crossfades

Albee,

Thanks for the reply. I'm doing it in slip mode, and I'm starting the highlight a little before the splice and continuing past it a little. When I pull up the fade dialogue box, the wavs...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Dillon999, that's a good idea, I actually considered that, but then the bummer of it is then I have to mess with 2 separate tracks for one audio input. Do you have any idea how to get those wav...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Shan, I tried your technique, but I'm still getting an immediate cut-off between region 1 and 2. It looks like the picture you referenced also has an immediate cut-off, instead of actually fading...

Re: Creating Crossfades between regions

Wow, thanks for the pic, I'll try that out today. Is it because you have the region settings set on "Top to Bottom" instead of "Left to Right"?

Anyone out there with a solution? It seems like I can't highlight past the point where region one (underlapped) meets with region 2 (overlapped). Thus, the splice point cuts off region 1 and region...
