Could very well be the power harness, but it sounds to me like your power
supply is the problem.... putting out low or borderline voltages.

This is something that comes up fairly regularly, and I have a feeling that it's due
to the order that one shuts down the components, especially if there's an external FW
drive...

Don,

Icabod is right.... it turns out that in order to have PT's clock set as master,
the "ADAT" unit must have 2 optical cables (in and out).

The SmPro MkII has only one optical (out), so...

In response.... the clicking and popping can be caused by either, that's exactly
why I want to eliminate the cable as a possibility (there have been a few posts where
the cable was found...

I don't believe the line-mic outputs are disabled when using the optical,
but again, I don't have the card yet, but I'll see what I can find out.

With about 10 days left on my 002R's warranty, it finally failed with the dreaded
"can't locate hardware" error. Digi phone tech support quickly diagnosed the problem
as a bad power supply...
