Must add to this TC Electronic everything. They used to be TDM only but now offer AAX-native. Also there is some life in Lexicon so the reverbs just might get to Apple Silicon after all.

Waves has only one plugin I have not yet found straight replacement, and it is the C6. Everything else is replaceable, but that is unique. I miss it every now and then.

I would probably have done just that for my 2009 Nehalem, but as HD cards top at PT10 there is no point so I stopped at Mavericks (one later than the latest supported).

Just sayin' there...

I think for you the main thing to figure out are the displays. The new stuff only work with single HDMI and multiple thunderbolt/displayports

Traffic between CPU and RAM is so much faster, that as processor gets jobs done faster, purges memory, fetches new batch of data for processing, is roughly double compared to "external" memory and...

To put this in perspective... Post work was perfectly okay 15 years ago with 48 gigs on intel. They say (and my tests before apple silicon native software) concludes that a gig of system-on-chip...

Unfortunately, that is unsupported hardware that was replaced bt Avid-branded one long agp and now superceded by Carbon Pre. They might not do anything to fix it.

Install an license are two separate things, but you obviously need to have both. With that said, if something changes in your licensing it does not necessitate new install.
