For punchblock, definitely 22 gauge. Make sure your rack stays put, punchblock likes to fall out if moved. Gepco is also a very good wire, made in Illinois and they sell direct.

Look into the instructional book and video's published by Mix Magazine. They might not be specific to Pro Tools some of them. But eq is eq and delay is delay.

If the mic pre's you are using are external put one next to the piano. The less cable between mic and mic pre is what is most important.
