Re: Strip Silence Bug in update

workaround: If you hold the control key(win) you can move the sliders to values other than max and min. It's also the modifier for fine parameter control so sliders will move in smaller steps.

Re: Nudging broken in PT 10

i can verify this on my system, i had set a nudge value of 20ms and nudge worked fine. changed clip gain and nudge value still read 20ms but clips were nudging at 500ms intervals. the only way I was...

Re: More than 32 tracks recording in PT9

yeah, 32 simultaneous tracks to a laptop, even at 44.1, is a bandwidth stretch for a firewire interface. I wouldn't trust it...

If you're looking for redundancy that's rock solid, try a pair of...

Re: insertion point doesn\'t \"grab\"

both are different.

link timeline and edit selection- selections made on a track (in the edit window) are mirrored in the timeline. there's a little button that enables/disables this next to the...

Re: FXPansion vst-rtas adapter

are you using version 2.0 of the wrapper? if so, it's only compatible with PT7 and up. You'll need v. 1.06 for PT 6.x.

the way the wrapper works is it takes the VST, creates a shell for it and...

Re: install protools LE on macbook pro

7.1.1 is the first intel compatible ProTools but it wan't universal binary, it is intel only. I believe 7.3 was the first UB (same installation works on both PPC and intel based macs.)

Re: stucture or kontakt

+1, the sample library is useless for me as well. If there was an option to buy Structure for about $250 witout the library, I'd be all over it.

comments/critiques on .4851

Well, there's some improvement since the last build. At least it's usable now. There are a bunch of other issues that would prevent Structure from being a serious contender in the softsampler market....

Re: Drag and Drop not working

Working fine here. Can drag and drop from region list, workspace or directly from edit window.Single or multiple samples.

Only with .rex files is it sort of weird. Each slice in a rex file should...

what build are you using? .4415?

I still can't change keymapping without loosing the output, drag and drop of multiple files simultaneously still doesn't work, there are numerous graphic...

Re: Am I wasting my money?

sell the 1.8 and get an intel based iMac, macmini or macbook. They run circles around my dual 1.8 G5.

barring that, the 1.8 you have will be Ok for a couple of tracks. I would stick with Reason...

1- do yo have a second drive for audio are are you running your sessions off the system drive?

2- have you tried setting the multi-processer usage to 2 processors?

3- have you tried...

Re: Roland Juno 106 sliders + knobs to control Hybrid

I've never had very good luck using sysex as a realtime control protocol (having to send MSB, LSB then a value...doesn't work out too well). I've had half a dozen Juno-106's in the past and I can...

Re: RTAS Midi converter?

Well, I can tell you this, there will never be an RTAS plugin that converts midi. Primarily because the A in RTAS stands for Audio.

If you're on a mac, what you're looking for is Midipipe...

Re: Agreed

I don't understand this... you can use beat detective to chop up a loop, and 'theoretically' drop all of the slices into a blank patch and it will map them across the keys however you define. I know...

Re: Reason 2.5 and PT LE 7.3.1 a no go

you are sort of correct, as a standalone 2.5 sort of works in rosetta but the performance is dismal. the rewire library installed with 2.5 won't work with an intel version of the a host DAW on an...

Re: Reason 2.5 and PT LE 7.3.1 a no go

'had' is the right word...after my upgrade to 7.3.1, reason 2.5 became really unstable as a rewire slave. Sometimes it would launch without a hitch and even load a track, but at some point protools...

Re: Syncing Protools LE to incoming MTC

can you elaborate on this? what are the symptoms of PT not chasing code? does it drift or is there a constant offset? do the frame rates match?

You say you're trying to use it as a glorified...
